ABOUT OUR JEWELLERY
✦ Our Story:
April Star is a UK based jewellery and accessories company. April Star was established in 2022 due to the success of our sister company Azzediari Boutique based in Christchurch, Dorset - established in 2012. April Star is our own label which we have created to bring you the highest quality affordable jewellery which you can wear either everyday or for occasional wear.
✦ Our Stainless Steel Jewellery Collection:
All of our stainless steel jewellery items are made of 316L stainless steel, the highest grade stainless steel available. We only use the highest quality 316L stainless steel in all of our products. All of our jewellery is tarnish free, waterproof and can be worn everyday without risk of fading or discolouration. So you can wear all your favourite pieces 24/7!
Stainless steel is the perfect choice if you are looking for highly durable jewellery. Stainless steel resists corrosion and oxidation meaning you won't be left with black or green discolouration after wearing.
✦ Benefits of Stainless Steel:
✦ Stainless steel is a sustainable material. Its long life makes it an ideal environmental performer in comparison to other materials. It's made to last!
✦ It's fully recyclable and can be re-used. In fact, it can be recycled many times over without losing its qualities (durability and rust resistance).
✦ It's not harmful or toxic to the environment.
✦ It's resilient to water so it will not rust, nor will the plating on it.
✦ It's durability and strength means you don't have to worry about your jewellery getting bent or squashed.
✦It contains hypoallergenic properties, so it is unlikely to cause adverse skin reactions.
✦ It doesn't leave green marks on your finger/neck!
✦ Our April Zircon Jewellery Collection:
Our beautiful April zircon jewellery is the closest you will find to real diamond jewellery but without the huge price tag. Colourless zircon is well known for its brilliance and flashes of multicoloured light, called fire. These two zircon properties are close enough to the properties of diamond to account for centuries of confusion between the two gems.
Zircon occurs in an array of colours. Its wide and varied palette of yellow, green, red, reddish brown and blue hues makes it a favourite among collectors as well as informed consumers. (See below for care instructions, same as our Star plated jewellery).
✦ Our Star Plated Jewellery Collection:
Our trendy Star plated jewellery collection is a fashionistas dream. All of our Star collection is Rhodium, Gold or Platinum plated on brass/copper. Our Star collection is hard wearing however not for everyday use and not suitable for contact with water.
If you wear your our Star collection pieces every day, first of all, thank you! We are ecstatic that you love our products enough to make them your daily staple. However over time, it is inevitable that the protective rhodium, platinum or gold plating will wear away, revealing more copper contact with your skin. Showing a little love and taking care of your April Star Plated pieces will prevent this natural wear and tear.
To extend the life of your jewellery, give them occasional breaks from every day wear, and keep them away from any moisture and especially chemicals.
✦ Avoid sweat
✦Wipe with soft cloth
✦Avoid sleeping in your jewellery
✦Avoid chemicals - Wait for hand and face creams to absorb completely before putting on any jewellery.
✦Avoid bathing, showering or washing your hands with jewellery on
Give your pieces a wipe with a soft cloth to clean them. You can also keep them in our complementary dust bag, away from humidity, when not in use in order to minimise scratching and oxidation.
By taking precautionary steps and proper care of your jewellery, you can say goodbye to unsightly stains and marks. Remember that green staining is not necessarily due to the jewellery being ‘fake’ or cheap, but can happen with even the highest quality brands! Simply follow this guide, and you can flaunt your April Star pieces with confidence and comfort.
